Was inspired on one of my surfing trips.

Returning from Gerrika's point...cruising slowly along with a beautuful Knysna lourie flying just ahead of me on the road it exploded mid-air, dust and feathers everywhere. I jumped on the brakes and stopped. Sitting there for a few moments processing what had just happened I noticed a peregrine falcon lifting out of the long grass with this completely smashed up lourie in it's tallends!

So strike was inspired by my absolute awe of the speed at which the falcon hit the lourie. On reflection the falcon descending on the lourie at around 200km/h making split second calculations of wind, bird movement and my vehicle approaching to hit this lourie, if not it would collide with the tar road.
